Part of an elite unit plagued by racist, homophobic and sexist behavior have been found guilty of gross misconduct at a disciplinary hearing.
A covert bug recorded members of Hampshire police’s serious organized crime unit regularly making offensive remarks, including wishing death on foreigners, and an investigation found that part of the office where a black officer worked was called “Africa corner”.
A police discipline tribunal on Friday found guilty of gross misconduct. The tribunal panel will consider what sanctions to impose on the officers when it reconvenes on 4 January 2021
